Dear Parents,

The Boards of the Five Town CSD and MSAD 28 wanted to take this opportunity to share an update on the search process for a new Superintendent to lead our exceptional school systems. We recognize that this is an important moment for our school community—and as key stakeholders, your input is essential in helping us find the right leader.

The Superintendent Search Process

The School Board launched a national search today, including nationwide postings and outreach, and a new website and video showcasing our schools, educators, students, and community. A special thanks to the staff, students, and parents who helped create the amazing video highlighting how great our schools and community are!

A hiring committee—comprised of board members, educators, administrators, and parents—will guide the selection process and will be formed later this month.

How You Can Share Your Input

The Board wants your input on the qualities and attributes important to you in a new Superintendent. To attempt to capture a diverse array of feedback and best help shape the profile of our next leader, we are providing the following opportunities to gather your feedback:

We’ll provide an overview of the feedback and responses we receive at our CSD meeting in December and follow-up with an email to you after that meeting. We hope to see you there.
